Police Arrest Ganduje’s Commissioner Over Alleged Political Thuggery By Umar Isa

The Police on Saturday arrested Kano state Commissioner for Special Duties Muktar Ishaq Yakasai who allegedly led some thugs to Yelwa Secondary School in Dala Local Government area of the state while attempting to cause chaos.

Solacebase gathered that the rerun election in Kano has being marred with political thugs threatening and injuring people at will.

Efforts to speak with the Kano Police Public Relations Officer Abdullahi Haruna proved abortive as his phone was not picked.

But Solacebase reporter said that Muktar Ishaq Yakasai was later whisked away with those arrested by the police.

The TVC crew were barred from carrying out there work at Gama area in Nasarawa local government, while the BBC crew were not spared also.

There is apparent security breach and tension in Kano as thugs were allowed to take over polling units across the state.

Solacebase reporters witnessed attacked of party stalwarts at Rimin Gado,Dala, Kibiya and Tudun Wada local governments.

According to the BBC over 25,000 alien voters invaded Gama area in Nasarawa local government area.
