ISSLG: Anyatonwu Swears In Enyinnaya, Others As Special Assistants.


The Transition Committee Chairman of Isiala Ngwa South Local Government, Comrade Ike Anyatonwu today inaugurated his newly appointed Special Assistants.

Inaugurating the appointees in his office, Comrade Anyatonwu congratulated them on their appointments and charged them to bring their wealth of experience to bear in the discharge of their duties describing their appointments as call to service.

Comrade Anyatonwu stated that he painstakingly chose them based on their track records explaining that having looked at their caliber, he has no doubt that they would succeed and urged them to think outside the box.

He charged the newly inaugurated Special Assistant on Transport to bring his vast experience in the transportation sector to bear by redefining the transport system of the Local Government while also charging the Special Assistant on Culture and Tourism to transform the Culture and Tourism of the Council by identifying its tourism potentials.

He further charged the Special Assistant on Finance & Revenue Matters to look into the revenue generation of the Council with a view to increasing it and blocking the leakages adding that the S.A on Environment and Natural Resources should work hand in glove with his Revenue Counterpart in order to tarp the natural endowments in the Council and generating revenue from them while assuring them of his assistance for them to succeed.

Responding on behalf of the appointees, the Special Assistant to the Chairman on Finance & Revenue Matters, Elder Michael Ogbonna expressed profound gratitude to the Chairman for finding them to serve pledging that they would justify the confidence reposed in them.

In an interview, the Special Assistant to the Chairman on Works, Dr. Nwachinemere Loveday Alioha promised to discharge his duties creditably by working closely with the Chairman, collaborating with the State Government in order to attract more roads construction to the Council and thanked the Governor for the ongoing reconstruction of Umuikaa-Omoba road.

Highpoint of the inauguration ceremony was administration of oaths of office and allegiance on the appointees by the Head of Service of the Council,  Chief Monday Ugorji while the event attracted the presence of a former Transition Committee Chairman of the Local Government, Elder Asuoha Anthony, Secretary to the Local Government, Dr. Kate Obilor, Chief of Staff to the T.C Chairman, Mrs Adaku Pat-Nnaji, among other personalities.
